| I was born in Trinidad, Tobago in the West Indies (Carribean). As my family moved to the United States in 1952, I attended the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau, Louisiana and completed my university studies in St. Louis, Missouri. I entered the Society in the United States (for the Southern Province at the time) and made my profession in Joigny in 1972. | ![]() |
My ministry experience has been within the US Network of Sacred Heart Schools. I have taught some French and theology, served many years as dean of students in several schools and was headmistress of Woodlands Academy, Chicago, and the Academy of the Sacred Heart, Grand Coteau.

For four years I served in the Secretariat at the Mother House, in Rome. I speak French and Spanish and a little Italian. For me, the most enriching aspect of living and working at the Mother House was the sense of connectedness with the Society throughout the world and of being able to make a contribution to the life of the Society on that larger scale. I came to a deeper understanding of the richness of our diversity and I am grateful for the insights I gained on St. Madeleine Sophie's call to make known the love of Jesus to all persons. In addition I love Rome, Italians and the Italian language and I look forward to being in that setting again starting in June, 2010. |
