Gathered in the love of God
We are one in the family of God.
We are the dwelling place that love has made.
We are formed to be goodness and light in the world.

1. God is light, in God there is no darkness.
Let us walk in the light of life.
If we live in God, then we must love each other,
Ever follow the way of truth and life.

2. See what love our God has shown to us,
To call us the children of God.
And as God has loved us, so we must love each other.
Ever follow the way of truth and life.

Celebrant:
Lord, Holy Father, confirm the resolve of your servants. Grant that the grace of baptism, which they wish to strengthen with new bonds, may work its full effect in them, so that they may offer you their praise and spread Christ’s kingdom with apostolic zeal. We ask this grace through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

First Reading: Jeremiah 1:4-10; 17-19 (read in Spanish)
The word of the Lord came to me saying: Before I formed you in your mother’s womb I knew you, before you were born I consecrated you, I appointed you a prophet to the nations. “Ah, Lord God!” I answered, “I do not know how to speak: I am too young.” But the Lord said: “Do not say, «I am too young.» You shall go to whomever I send you and shall say whatever I tell you to say. Do not be afraid of them for I am with you and will keep you safe”, says the Lord. Then the Lord stretched out his hand and touched my mouth, saying: “See, I place my words in your mouth! This day I set you over nations and over kingdoms: to pull down and to uproot, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant. Prepare yourself, stand up and tell them all I command you. Have no fear of them and in their presence I will make you fearless. This day I make you a fortified city, a pillar of iron, a wall of bronze, to confront the whole land: against the kings and princes of Judah, its priests and its people. They will fight against you, but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will keep you safe”, says the Lord.

Psalm : You are mine (Original in English)
Listen to the song (video)
(Text and music: David Hass, b. 1957; © 1991 by GIA Publications, Inc.)

I will come to you in the silence, I will lift you from all your fear.
You will hear my voice, I claim you as my choice, be still and know I am here.

I am hope for all who are hopeless, I am eyes for all who long to see.
In the shadows of the night, I will be your light, come and rest in me.

Refrain :
Do not be afraid, I am with you. I have called you each by name.
Come and follow me, I will bring you home; I love you and you are mine.

I am strength for all the despairing, healing for the ones who dwell in shame.
All the blind will see, the lame will run free, and all will know my name.
(Refrain)

I am the Word that leads all to freedom, I am the peace the world cannot give.
I will call your name, embracing all your pain, stand up, now walk, and live!
(Refrain)

Second reading: Ephesians 3:14-20 (read in Spanish)
This, then, is what I pray, kneeling before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name: out of the treasures of his glory may he give you power through his spirit for your inner being to grow strong. May Christ dwell in your hearts through faith and may you be rooted and grounded in love. Then you will have the strength to grasp with God’s holy people, the breadth and length and height and depth of Christ’s love, and experience this love which is beyond all knowledge, so that you may be filled with the utter fullness of God. Glory be to him whose power working in us can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine.

Alleluia (Korean melody, Kang Soo Geun CP)

Gospel Acclamation (Korean): This is the day our Lord prepared, let us rejoice and dance together.

Gospel: John 15: 1-17 (read in English)
I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower. Every branch in me that bears no fruit he cuts away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes to make it bear even more. You are pruned already by means of the word that I spoke to you. Make your home in me, as I make mine in you. As a branch cannot bear fruit all by itself, but must remain united to the vine, neither can you unless you remain united to me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever dwells in me, as I dwell in them, bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. Whoever does not dwell in me is thrown away like a withered branch. These branches are collected and thrown on the fire and they will be burned. If you dwell in me and my words dwell in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be given to you. It is to the glory of my Father that you should bear much fruit and be my disciples. As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Dwell in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will dwell in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and dwell in his love. I have told you this so that my own joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. This is my commandment: love one another as I have loved you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know what the master is doing. I call you friends, because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father. You did not choose me, no, I chose you and appointed you to go out and bear fruit, fruit that will last; so that the Father will give you anything you ask in my name. This is my commandment to you: love one another.
