Gerardette Philips rscj: Consultor to the Commission for Religious Relations with Muslims
The Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, has appointed Gerardette Philips rscj (INS) as Consultor to the Commission for Religious Relations with Muslims. The principal purpose of the Commission is to reflect on the situation of Islam and Christianity in their respective countries and on ways to improve Christian-Muslim relationships. Gerardette?s appointment is for five years and the Commission normally meets once a year.
We rejoice with her and unite ourselves in hope that this inter-religious dialogue will lead to greater openness and unity each day.
