Let us pray. Lord God, you so loved the world you sent your only Son that we might have life through him. He, in turn, has commanded us to live on in his love by loving one another. Dwell in us, Lord, and bring your love to perfection in us. Grant this through Christ our Lord.

Receive the prayer of our hearts, O God of love. Let your Spirit give voice to what we cannot say. Grant that through these prayer our hearts and lives may be transformed to do your will, in the name of Jesus Christ, who taught us to pray. Amen.


 

The presider will stand with a pitcher of water.
Another person hands out cups. Each one lines up in front of the leader, says one line of the litany, receives water from the leader, drinks it and goes back to his/her place.)
