I am the true vine
and my Father is the vinedresser.
Every branch in me that bears no fruit
he cuts away,
and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes
to make it bear even more.
You are pruned already,
by means of the word that I have spoken to you.
Make your home in me, as I make mine in you.
As a branch cannot bear fruit all by itself,
but must remain part of the vine,
neither can you unless you remain in me.
I am the vine,
you are the branches.
Those who remain in me, with me in them,
bear fruit in plenty;
for cut off from me you can do nothing.
Anyone who does not remain in me
Is like a branch that has been thrown away
and withers;
these branches are collected
and thrown into the fire,
and they are burned.
If you remain in me
and my words remain in you
you may ask what you will and you shall get it.
It is to the glory of my Father
that you should bear much fruit,
and then you will be my disciples.
As the Father has loved me,
So I have loved you.
remain in my love.

John 15: 1-9,
Jerusalem Bible

“We are sent by the Church
to communicate the love of the Heart of Jesus.
In Him all find their true growth as persons
and the way towards reconciliation with one another.

This we believe; this we want to proclaim.

Saint Madeleine Sophie chose to express this conviction through the service of education, especially of the young.
Faithful to her inspiration, and, like her, open to new situations, we make her desire our own:
  • that people become more aware of truth, of love and of freedom
  • that they discover the significance of their lives, and devote themselves to others
  • that they take part creatively in the common effort to transform the world
  • that they be enabled to encounter the love of Jesus
  • that they let their lives be shaped by faith. “
