Reflections
I was a seed that grew in rocky soil
Sheltered by overshadowing rocks from rain and sun
And yet within me was the need, the desperate need
         To grow towards the light.
I needed food for mind and spirit too,
And so I took a different road.
And when my need was great it was provided for
More understanding, food for thought for me to share.
There's more to come for me, there's more I know
Because I still have need to grow,
Patience and love and a listening ear)
The willingness to wipe away each tear
Because I've been forgiven, I forgive,
Live on, my love, allowing all to live.
I need my quiet voice to say a word,
A word in season, when the need is there.
Journey towards the light in spirit and in deed,
         Be unafraid!
