Weightless, you float awhile
         in the blue August noon
         but soon
scandalize
my incredulous eyes
         since you drop no flower
                  wave no farewell
                  shed no tear
but like any woman bent on her departure
with a certain air of finality
don your traveling cloak
drawing around you
without a backward glance
