From 8th - 11th December 2004, the Sacred Heart High School at N'Djamena celebrated its fortieth anniversary. The idea for the Jubilee came from the Alumni and Alumnae, who spent months preparing it.
The High School staff made a big contribution by preparing the students for the various events that took place over these four days.
Many former students turned up to show their gratitude for the education they had received, which enabled them to face up to life, and to be ready to play an active role in the Chad of today. They all stressed the importance of these years of study in a setting that was open to the world; many religions and cultures are represented, and all students can feel appreciated and supported in their development.
A play and an exhibition of photos recalled the first Sisters and teachers, and all who co-operated in this common effort. The former students shared their memories.
Our thanks to all who have made these forty years a success.
