"At the service of the world with the Heart of Christ"

(Objectives of the meeting)

We wanted it to be a mirror in which we see our continent with all its richness and also with all its urgent needs. We wanted to see it in the light of our spirituality and to listen to the message that it sends us to fulfill our mission to be the Heart of Christ here in our world.

This meeting has been :

• An opportunity for reflection on the coherence of our lives with the formation we have received.

• An opportunity to listen in community to the Spirit in each country and to see what is asked of us in order to be able to be “At the service of the world with the Heart of Christ”.

• An opportunity to look together at the world around us and to see the challenges it offers.

• An occasion to turn to the sources of our spirituality and to see from that perspective what the mission is today of alumnae and alumni of the Sacred Heart.

• A moment to draw near to the Heart of Jesus and to ask him to conform our hearts to his.

Following the bishops at the Aparecida Conference (download PDF file, in Spanish), we have proposed the method of seeing, judging, acting. We have done so with humility and depth, letting ourselves be touched interiorly, be converted and be moved towards a common mission that each one carries out in her/his country, surroundings, in small groups, in all our schools.
