My heart is too small...

For me the context in which the Chapter has been happening is very meaningful. We experience the generosity and the most warm welcome of the Peruvian Province. Their mission is so life giving and so needed here in Peru. But we are also aware that millions people are living on the edge, on the hills around Lima in extreme poverty. Now I can see what I have only read about and what I have seen on TV. Probably it was only in my head and now, hopefully, it’s beginning the journey to the heart.
I realize that every day in Eucharist I receive Christ who is hungry. Christ doesn’t come to me alone but with all who are dying, who are lonely and rejected. They need His love to survive, to live in dignity wherever they are and I need His love in order to be able to live with this awareness and to bring life to this world. The experience of Christ is not fulfilled in the experience of the poor. But for sure they take a special place in His Heart
We are here at the Chapter - rscj from all around the world listening to the Spirit. What is the Spirit saying to us? We are looking for an answer in the atmosphere of prayer and dialogue. I am discovering dialogue as the attitude of the loving Heart of Jesus. God has created the world with diverse inhabitants and it is good. But sometimes diversity becomes problematic. The world today needs dialog as never before. We can see that constant confrontation leads to fundamentalism. The only way for us, and I experience it here during this Chapter, is dialog which leads us to faith.
I am so grateful that I can be here. Sometimes I feel that my heart is too small for this experience but miracles happen.
