On Hope

What can my being hope, or your, or yours?
A little
With tenacity
So all our lifetime is spent in hoping it.

I hope
that He is risen
And with Kindness does
the elemental lowness of our life assume
Still, and forever.

I further hope
That I will let Him, one day, love
Within me humbly, with
His strength, His joy,
And all His deep perceptions of our grief.

And further still
I hope
that we will in each other see
His goodness and will know
He lives within our doubting world
Vicariously.
