O Sleeping Beauty
wreathed in blossoming thorn
On Trellis-Transom-Tree:
awaken me.
O Ripened Fruit
redgoldleafed by the sun,
You Apple of my I:
my hunger satisfy.
O Tented Ark
in shadowed dark of noon:
Your Tabernacle set
where our hearts met.
O Cup of Wine
Your Vine pours out on earth:
My grapes of wrath O press
to blood you bless.
O Water, salty Flood
where Spirit broods:
Over my primal sea
speak your: "Let be."
O Setting Sun, whose rise
my westering eyes saw not:
Be now my Orient.
Easter my Lent.
O Final Firebird,
Phoenix of rebirth:
Inflame my frosty stone
to blood, heart, bone.
O Cosmic Dancer,
resting when the lance
Rent the veiled Temple:
draw me to your Dance.
O Endless Carol,
final Crown of Song,
Wedding Circlet,
weaving stars among,
O Heart, red Rose and Wreath,
still Center of the Wheel,
O failing Breath,
O Thread upon the Reel,
O Love and Lotus,
Mandala to hold
Was, Is, and Will be:
Perfect Rose of Gold,
Embrace, encircle,
Nest and foster me
while time spins on,
Till our Death sets me free
Eternally.
