It is quiet now in the compound of the Lyceée du Sacré Coeur N’Djamena. Asunta Clausen, the area superior, and Juliette N’Guemta, Chadian rscj, have returned to the school compound in order to begin to clean up. The school and community buildings have not been looted. The sisters can once more be reached by phone.

Many of our sisters who were evacuated are already thinking of returning to N’Djamena, but for the moment the school cannot reopen because of unexploded ordnance strewn over the compound and which must be cleared before the students can return.
