Vous êtes enveloppée de silence, o Mère Admirable, et pourtant vous parlez…. Oui, vous parlez et vous révélez les secrets divins à ceux qui savent vous écouter. Vous parlez de ce que vous portez dans le cœur : l’amour infini de Dieu qui voudrait submerger le monde. Dites-nous comment vous avez compris le mystère de l’Eucharistie, mystère infini de l’Amour qui en est la source et la plénitude.
Mater, qui révélez à vos enfants
les secrets de l’Eucharistie,
 priez pour nous

Mater Admirabilis

Today‘s Madonna
Her days are full, her interests many.
Her world is rest, of the here and now.
She knows plenty about weaving patches,
and the tension between new cloth and old.
She knows about the wild lilies that outstrip Solomon.
She knows her Scripture from Aleph to Taw – every jot and title.
But she knows how to strike the balance we so often lose.
Witness her poise.

Tomorrow‘s Madonna
A new dawn enfolds her.
Her cheeks are rosy in the light of the promised day.
Her vision is for tomorrow, for a future,
uncharted and mysterious, and as it turned out for her,
totally unpredictable.

Madonna of the threshold
So she sits at the threshold of the Temple,
at the  threshold of her own tomorrow.
She is there too at the threshold of all our tomorrows,
in her wisdom gently forewarning –
“The future is not what it was”.
